About Us

The Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce was established in 1996 with the aim of facilitating increased trade and investment between Thailand and Norway. It provides members with a forum to improve business conditions and opportunities as well as creating venues and channels for exchange and sharing of information.

In a business forum the members can interact, gather and exchange information through a variety of functions and activities. The Chamber organises business related events from Breakfast Meetings covering current business affairs, to topical Business Seminars and Dinner Events featuring guest speakers.

The members can get helpful assistance from our Chamber office located in central Bangkok. The Chamber is co-located with Innovation Norway and cooperates closely with them at the Norwegian Business Centre. The Chamber has a good relationship with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, and several Chamber members also offer valuable support in many key business areas.

The Thai-Norwegian Business Review Magazine is issued twice to three times yearly. The Magazine contents a member directory and is distributed free to the members and other contacts. The Business Review features interesting articles about business, trade and life style in both Norway and Thailand.

The Chamber website www.norcham.com has information about the latest news about Chamber activities and a member directory which all time will be updated. Furthermore, a number of links provide useful intelligence within business and trade.

Through its membership of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand, the Chamber identifies challenges and opportunities in doing business in Thailand, seeking support in Thai Government policies to address such issues. This includes interaction with key business stakeholders in Thailand, such as the Board of Trade, the Thai Customs Department, The Immigration Department, The Revenue Department and the Board of Investment as well as providing access to top officials in the Thai administration.
