On 27 October the Nordic Chambers held a breakfast meeting with Thailand Board of Investment. Khun Duangjai Asawachintachit, Assistant General Secretary of the Thailand Board of Investment informed about how to use the Thailand Board of Investment as your vehicle for investment and business in Thailand. Her presentation covered areas like major BOI Incentives Schemes, Priority Activities, Sector-Specific Incentive Package, Regional Operating Headquarters and much more.

On 25 September 2009 Thailand Board of Investment opened a new BOI office in Stockholm for all the Nordic countries. It is the BOI's 13th overseas office. On November 23 2009 the new One-Start-One-Stop Service Centre will open in Bangkok. The objectives for OSOS are to facilitate entry of new investors, assist businesses looking to expand and serve as a focal point for dealing with relevant government agencies.
