Starboard’s Plastic Offset Programme (POP)
Starboard’s Plastic Impact Programme
Joining Starboard’s Plastic Offset Program (POP) is simple. All your company needs to do is choose how much plastic you’d like to commit to removing from beaches in Thailand and Myanmar. From there, they handle the rest—from collection to community impact.
Starboard, one of our Premium Members and a Thai-Norwegian company recognised globally for both innovation and sustainability, is offering certified plastic credits that represent one tonne of plastic removed from the Thailand and Mynamar. These credits are verified under VERRA’s Plastic Waste Reduction Standard and audited by a third party to ensure transparency and measurable impact.
Your support goes beyond beach cleanups. Every credit funds local education, employment, and community development. At just €1.20 per kilogram, it’s a powerful way to make a real difference—especially in Myanmar, where ongoing political unrest and earthquake have devastated communities. POP provides immediate, hands-on support to those who need it most.
150 Euros supports the resources necessary for:
- 10 collectors to remove plastic from the shorelines
- 10 community residents to engage with their livelihood workshops
- 10 students to participate in their educational school program
300 Euros supports the resources necessary for:
- 25 collectors to remove plastic from the shoreline
- 15 community residents to engage with their livelihood workshops
- 20 students to participate in their educational school program
1,200 Euros (1 Verified Plastic Credit):
- You will receive a verified VERRA plastic credit certificate, publically
registered on VERRA’s registry portal, - Support the collection of 1 metric ton of plastic waste from the beaches
Offset your plastic usage through their traceable and measurable impact
credits. - Support their collection teams, livelihood workshops and educational
programs.
This is a unique opportunity for Norwegian companies to connect with Thailand through a shared commitment to ocean health and social responsibility. Let us know how many tonnes of plastic you’d like to pick up—and let’s start there.
