About The Norway-Asia Business Summit
Since its inception in 1998, The Norway-Asia Business Summit has evolved into a pivotal meeting place for Norwegian industry players, government representatives, diplomatic missions, and business support organisations. It stands as a beacon of the revitalised “Team Norway” concept and has earned its reputation as the most significant gathering between Norwegian and Asian business leaders.
The Norway-Asia Business Summit 2023 will be organised during 29 November to 2 December 2023 at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel.
About the Organiser
The Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, established in 1996, aims to enhance trade and investment between Thailand and Norway. It offers a platform for business improvement and information exchange among members. Notably, the Chamber hosted the 2014 Norway-Asia Business Summit in Thailand, with a high rating of 4.6 out of 5. It primarily engages key decision makers in Norwegian industries in Thailand, functioning as a business-focused forum.

Opening volunteer positions
- Activity Team: This team is responsible for coordinating and taking care of site visits, spouse programme and extension trips during the summit. The ideal candidates should love outdoor and tour activities.
- Care Team: This team is responsible for coordinating and taking care of VIP guests or world-class speakers during the event.
- Hospitality Team: This position serves as a general staff, ensuring tidiness and orderliness at various stations, and providing convenience to the participants, in order to ensure that they have a good experience.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist with event preparations and setup at TNCC Office (27-28 November).
- Provide support during the summit at Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel (29 November – 2 December).
- Engage with attendees, help with registrations, guide participants, and ensure smooth event flow
- Contribute to the success of line-up activities, including conferences, networking sessions, business matching, exhibitions, site visits, and tech startup events.
Requirements
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, punctual, and reliable
- Strong service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to dynamic event scenarios
- Able to commute to TNCC Office and event venue
Volunteer Duration and Working Locations
Duration: 27 November – 2 December 2023
Working Locations:
- 27-28 November, 9.30-17.00 hrs. at Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce’s office (Map)
Compensation: Baht 750 per day - 29 November – 2 December, 8.00-22.00 hrs. at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel (Map)
Compensation: Baht 1,500 per day
Compensation total: Baht 7,500 net (27 November – 2 December)
Remarks
- Activity team’s working locations may varies depend on which activity you are responsible for.
- Volunteers are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of your transportation to and from the main workplace locations. TNCC does not provide accommodations for volunteers during the volunteer period.
