In most cases, a crisis comes from an unexpected event with little or no warning. Are you and your company prepared?
What you do during the first 24 – 48 hours can be crucial and training for a potential crisis by using scenario exercises is an efficient and valuable tool to help you and the people around you when the crisis occurs. On 26 May 2017, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Nordic and BeLuThai Chambers of Commerce will host a Crisis Management workshop where you will get to discuss an actual crisis scenario and prepare for a crisis. In this workshop, you will work through a simulated crisis that will make you think about your own organization and what you may need to do.
During the last ten years Bangkok has had airport closure (Yellow Shirts Airport Closure, 2008), H1N1 (Swine Flu – 2009), Floods (2011), Bombings (last one was the Erawan Shrine Bombing in 2015), and a Military Coup (last one in 2014).
We will start with an introduction to Crisis Management by our two experienced speakers: Rune Fjellstad, Director of Safety and Security for Telenor in Asia, and Andrew Durieux, who has worked with Crisis Management in the ASEAN region for over 20 years, with organizations such as the UN and the Red Cross, before we move on to the table top exercise where you participate. Can you handle it? How will you react?
