Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, one of our Corporate Members, is introducing a monthly Latin brunch concept called ‘El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch’ to celebrate ‘Vivir Mi Vida’ throughout Latin America.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok champions individuals. That can be everything from interests and preferences, through to rediscovering cultural roots. Not only does the Luxury Lifestyle Langsuan Hotel champion these ideals, they in-fact polarise them.

“The Latin brunch concept ‘El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch’ was a conversation between friends on the back of the successful Chili Fest we hosted earlier this year,” said Lamberto Valdez Lara, Cluster Executive Chef for Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and Sindhorn Midtown Hotel, Vignette Collection.

“My descendancy celebrates Mayan cuisine that is more than 3,000 years old and can still be found in Latin Caribbean countries today. It’s a colourful cuisine, it’s different and it’s a conversation starter – but that’s the Latin X community overall, we love food and we love to celebrate with each other. As we say in Mexico, food, drinks and dancing equals a fiesta!”

The ‘El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch’ will be a monthly affair, that’s a celebration of ‘Vivir Mi Vida’ throughout Latin America. After the success of the ‘Welcome to the Playground’ Brunch in Stock.Room, the Hotel’s Grocerant, the shift in step (there will be dancing) is a chance to showcase not just the Mexican side of what they do, but also bring some wild flavours from the rest of the Latin X cuisine nations.

The brunch will feature a Mayan-Caribbean section, the Nikkei Cuisine of Peru, Mexican hallmarks, including regional favourites from Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas from the South Pacific Coast, Boliveria street foods, highlights from Brazil and who can go past the astonishing culinary landscape of the Argentine-

Italian meat scene – giving the region its nod to fine beef cuts and charcuteries, not to mention the chorizo Argentino, bresaola, lyoner and salchicha parrillera.

Celebrating the local Latin community, rotating guest chefs and mixologists will join Chef Lamberto and share with the guests their local fare, a tribute to their ancestors.

El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch isn’t just about food; it’s a full sensory experience. This Latin Brunch experience features our entertainment partners that will bring the El Festival to life. Feel the vibrant Latin energy through DJ Camilo and The Accordion Player, 4-piece live band the Rumberos and entertainment Madame Rouge Performance with salsa, flamenco and carnival-style bachata.

We would also like to highlight local ‘Latin’ chef’s already in the region – bringing their experiences and roots to Stock.Room monthly.”

El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch is available on every first Sunday of the month from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Stock.Room, 5th floor. Guests can choose from package of:
