World Cleanup Day is the world’s largest one-day civic action, engaging more than 191 countries to tackle the global waste crisis, in which volunteers and partners worldwide came together to rid our planet of rubbish. It’s an opportunity for individuals and communities to come together and make a positive difference in the environment we all share.

This year, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), in collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in BangkokStarboard, our premium member, and Trash Hero Bangkok, we are thrilled to invite you to the World Cleanup Day campaign, for a remarkable day that promises to make a lasting impact at Taco Lake.

Time: 09.00-12.30 hrs

Venue: Taco Lake (Map)

Agenda

9.00-9.15             Meet at Taco lake

9.15-10.00           Welcome speech and introduction of Trash Hero Bangkok

10.00-11.30         Clean up session 1

  • Group 1: Start walking on the road at May Market through the soi to Taco Lake
  • Group 2: Paddle boards in the canal from Starboard HQ to Wat Bangplee Yai Nai

11.30-12.30         Clean up session 2

  • Group 1 and 2 back to Taco Lake, sort trash, weigh trash and record amount of trash
  •  Keep recyclable trash
  • Move other trash to the trash truck

Trash Hero is a global volunteer movement, led, supported, and governed by Trash Hero World. At our heart is a growing grassroots network of chapters: unincorporated, community-based organisations that run our programmes. Each is affiliated to Trash Hero World and their national Trash Hero organisation if one exists.
