It’s World Cleanup Day !! Join the movement for a clean planet

World Cleanup Day is the world’s largest one-day civic action, engaging more than 191 countries to tackle the global waste crisis, in which volunteers and partners worldwide came together to rid our planet of rubbish.

This year, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), in collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok,  Starboard, our premium member, and Trash Hero Bangkok, cordially invites you to the World Cleanup Day campaign. Starboard partly runs the Bangkok chapter of Trash Hero, whereby Trash Hero Bangkok and its teams organised weekly rubbish collection activities by organising volunteers in Bangkok neighbourhoods. Therefore, in connection with World Cleanup day, our activities include mangrove forest clean-up, sorting, and brand audit.

In 2019, our members including premium members Jotun (Thailand) Ltd., Yara (Thailand), Felicia Design, Norway Connect and Starboard as organisers as well as staff of the Joint-Foreign Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT) and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok joined hands to collect trash on World Cleanup Day 2019.

Venue:        Bang Pu Recreation Centre (BTS Kheha Exit 3 or Song thew line 36 – 8 Baht) (Map)
Schedule:   08:15 – 08:30    Register at the Mangrove forest area.
                    08:30 – 08:45    Photo time and introduce Trash Hero and recommend the waste collection procedures
                    08:45 – 10:30    Collect the trash around the mangrove forest area at Bangpu recreation centre.
                    10:30 – 11:30    Weighting, Sorting and Brand audit
