Net Zero, with Integrity
NET ZERO, WITH INTEGRITY by Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC)
Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), in collaboration with the Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC), organising a Net Zero, With Integrity will take place on Monday, 25 March 2024, at Pacific City Club, Two Pacific Place Building 142 Sukhumvit Rd, Bangkok (Next to BTS Nana Station).
Thailand aims to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2065 and be carbon neutral by 2030. However, there’s a lot of confusion out there about how countries can actually achieve this goal. Essentially, there are two main approaches: organic reductions or removals, and (along the way) trading and offsets.
The investment community plays a big role in helping countries meet these targets. How are companies responding to this challenge? And what has a leading economy done to support a realistic plan for reaching net zero emissions?
TFCC is hosting an event called “NET ZERO, WITH INTEGRITY” to tackle these important questions. With the help of Finland’s Minister of Trade and our renowned panelists, we plan to find some credible answers.
Moderated session:
- Finance and Investment Expert: Presentation on the critical role of accurate data quantification for securing future green financing; climate measurement and reporting; ideal if regionally or Thailand-based.
- Finnish Company Representative: A case study on utilising quantifiable data to achieve net zero emissions. Importance of commitment to carbon accounting and reporting integrity. (Valmet Co.)
- Thai Government: Overview of Thailand’s initiatives and progress in greenhouse gas management and the importance of integrity in measurement and reporting.
Discussion – moderated exchange among three speakers
