Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce is seeking for a Business Development Manager who is energetic, self driven and responsible to join our dynamic and growing organisation.

Position and Reporting Channel

The Business Development Manager reports to Executive Director of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.

Job responsibilities

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving growth and member engagement for the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC). This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the Chamber’s membership base, strengthen relationships with existing members, create value through partnerships, and support the overall mission of promoting bilateral trade, investment, and cooperation between Thailand and Norway. Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager shall be, but not limited to the following:

    • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain members, partners, and sponsors, while maximising Chamber revenues through the recruitment and management of event participants, advertisers, and sponsors in line with the Chamber’s goals
    • Drive innovation in member-focused marketing services by conducting research, developing new offers, and forging partnerships with relevant service providers
    • Monitor and analyse KPIs related to membership and partnership growth, engagement, and satisfaction
    • Develop, plan, manage and execute impactful membership programmes, profiling activities, exhibitions and events such as networking sessions, business forums, exhibition and thought leadership initiatives
    • Act as the main point of contact for members, sponsors and partners — understanding their needs, ensuring value delivery, and fostering active engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including corporate members, embassies, government agencies, and other business organisations
    • Attend and represent the Chamber at selected business events and other Chamber’s events
    • Handle and follow up accounts receivable for membership, sponsorships and partnerships
    • Provide training, supervision, and overall management of business development interns
    • Any other work as assigned by the Executive Director
    Requirements
    • Thai National with Bachelor’s or Master’s in business administration is preferred. Other degrees will be considered if skills are applicable and requirements are met
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or stakeholder engagement role with proven track record in meeting or exceeding KPIs
    • Familiar with membership recruitment, partnership development, retention strategies, and stakeholder engagement — ideally within membership-based or non-profit organisations
    • Proactive, adaptable, and entrepreneurial, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to develop and close strategic partnerships and generate recurring revenue
    • Confident networker with the ability to engage and build and maintain strong member relationships as well as business network; friendly, personable, and service-minded with strong communication skills
    • Able to work under high pressure and have self-starter attitude
    • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with an international audience
    • High level of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Design (Photoshop)
    • Ability to travel meetings, sales visit and after working hours for events
    • Experience as an exchange student in an English speaking country will be considered a merit

    The Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1996 with the aim of facilitating increased trade and investment between Thailand and Norway. It provides members with a forum to improve business conditions and opportunities as well as creating venues and channels for exchange and sharing of information. Current membership stands at around 60 members including premium and corporate members.
