MedPark subsidiary, TMG88 simulation centre, receives full accreditation from SSH
MedPark Hospital, our corporate member, has received full international accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), one year ahead of schedule. The centre provides advanced medical simulation training and has supported healthcare professionals from more than 200 organisations since 2021.
The TMG88 Simulation Centre has received full international accreditation in teaching and education from The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in the United States. This accreditation is an upgrade from the previous provisional level and was achieved a full year ahead of schedule, reflecting the centre’s commitment to designing a simulated learning system developed to realistically support the care of patients with rare and complex diseases.
In just 6 years, it took them from a mock-up room to an internationally certified centre.
The origins of this simulation centre stemmed from the term “Medical Education” before MedPark Hospital opened. The space served as a mock-up room for practicing and preparing personnel, with the initial plan being for it to function as a simulation centre as well. Standards and goals were set in advance before the centre’s establishment.
Throughout its six years of operation, the centre received Provisional accreditation in its second year. It then accumulated sufficient curriculum, personnel, and quantitative data to ensure it was truly ready before applying for Full Accreditation. It was accredited immediately after the evaluation.
The evaluators praised two strengths : ‘collaboration with stakeholders’ and ‘dedicated teamwork’
The assessment team from SSH travelled to the actual location for the inspection. The scope of the assessment was not limited to training alone, but ranged from the clarity of the vision and mission, organisational structure, adequacy of staffing levels, necessary policy structures, curriculum, teaching equipment, to the human resource management system.
The two strengths that the evaluation team praised in their report were: strong relationships and collaboration with stakeholders , and a dedicated and effective team. The evaluation team further commented that, despite being a newly constructed and compact facility, it was able to deliver excellent quality education.
Distinguished by its high-fidelity simulations in every discipline and teaching experience in over 200 organisations.
The TMG88 simulation centre is distinguished by its design of simulated spaces that comprehensively cover the main services of a hospital, including outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, operating rooms, emergency rooms, intensive care units, and cardiac intensive care units.
Importantly, in terms of equipment, such as fully functional lifelike mannequins, the core is the high-fidelity mannequin that simulates patient physiology and responses as closely as possible to humans. These are selected to cover a wide range of fields, including childbirth simulations. Meanwhile, the mannequins for practicing chest compressions are models that provide real-time feedback and measure the quality of compressions.
In 2025, the centre offered 26 training courses totaling 86 sessions, with 1,815 participants from 55 organisations, amounting to 10,425 hours of training. Since 2021 , over 200 organisations , including hospitals, educational institutions, and non-healthcare organisations, have received training from the centre. Furthermore, the centre is an Authorised AHA (American Heart Association) Training Site of the TRC (Thai Resuscitation Council) International Training Centre.
This Full Accreditation from SSH reflects the role of MedPark Hospital and its subsidiaries in contributing to the advancement of medical personnel development in Thailand. This aligns with the initial intention of the centre: to build a team capable of confidently caring for patients with rare and complex diseases, and to strive towards becoming a leading international medical hub.
