Edda Bunader Co., Ltd is a manufacturer of handmade Norwegian Traditional Costumes (Bunader) for selected Norwegian retailers. Employing ninety highly skilled seamstresses from the minority tribes Hmong and Karen ensures the exceptional quality of embroidery and handicraft inherited through generations. Edda Bunader`s history is both short and long. Established in 2019, but being a continuation of an activity established in Thailand more than 20 years ago. Few people maintain the art of making bunader. Thus, there is no manufacturing in Norway. Estonia, Shanghai, Viet Nam are in the business, but in Thailand, our Hmong and Karen seamstresses make by far, the most beautiful embroidery. New and modern facilities fulfil all requirements for environmental as well as welfare standards. Our fabrics are from renowned Norwegian manufacturers of fabrics and textile garniture. The high demand for our more than 50 various costumes resulted in acquiring land and constructing custom-built premises of 950 sqm. Located in Chiang Mai just eight km from the city centre lush surroundings welcome our employees as well as guests.
