Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit's Luxurious Songkran Sunday Jazz Brunch SeriesSheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s Luxurious Songkran Sunday Jazz Brunch Series Showcases the Culinary Diversity of Four Thai Regions

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, one of our Corporate members, the iconic Luxury Collection Hotel in the heart of Bangkok, will celebrate Songkran in style this April with four exclusive editions of its popular Sunday Jazzy Brunch! Hosted at Rossini’s, the Michelin-rated Italian restaurant, and The Living Room, Bangkok’s premier jazz venue, for four consecutive Sundays, these vibrant dining experiences will transport diners on an exciting road trip to the four culinary regions of Thailand – Central, North, Northeast, and South – with authentic street food dishes and dynamic live stations, all accompanied by the smooth tunes of a live jazz band.

This nationwide tour starts on Sunday 7 April, as Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s talented chefs shine a spotlight on the Central Region, with local favorites such as mar hor (pineapple relish with peanuts & tamarind), taengmo na plar haeng (smoked dried fish with watermelon), and gaeng ranjuan (spicy beef broth with shrimp paste & sweet basil), plus a dedicated Khao Chae Station featuring the traditional taste of Songkran – chilled jasmine rice with handcrafted condiments.

Then on Sunday 14 April, this epicurean adventure heads to Northern Thailand as chefs present four classic recipes: sai oua (Chiang Mai sausage), nam prik orng (pork chili dip with fresh vegetables), gaeng kare gai (Northern Thai chicken curry), and a Khao Soi Station featuring the popular Northern Thai noodle curry which was named as the “world’s best soup” by foodie website TasteAtlas.

On Sunday 21 April, the culinary road trip will move on to Isaan, Thailand’s vast Northeastern Region, which is famed for its lush rice fields and natural produce. Local specialties will include moo nam tok (grilled pork neck), tom saeb nuea (spicy beef soup) and gaeng aom (spicy pork broth with vegetables & dill), plus a Som Tum Station where chefs create one of the country’s most iconic dishes: papaya salad.

Finally on Sunday 28 April, this gastronomic odyssey will end in Southern Thailand as chefs showcase this exotic region’s tropical ingredients. Guests can savor khanom cheen nam ya pooh (crab curry with rice noodles), gaeng kua hoi khom bai chapoo (Southern Thai coconut clam curry with wild betel leaves), gai yang gor laey (marinated grilled chicken), and a Khao Yum Station serving a “rainbow salad” of fluffy young rice with seasonal herbs, roasted coconut and wild betel leaves.

And of course, every guest will be able to discover an amazing array of global delicacies including a succulent selection of fresh seafood on ice (king crab, slipper lobster, blue crab, river prawns, tiger prawns, NZ mussels and more), hand-cut sushi and sashimi, a premium cheese trolley, authentic Italian cold cuts and antipasti, a live pasta station, Indian tandoori flavors, Chinese favorites, carved roasted meats including wagyu prime rib of beef, Australian lamb rack and barbecued pork ribs, and sublime cooked seafood such as baked Atlantic cod with a pistachio crust, grilled salmon and sea bass.

The hotel’s highly skilled chefs will then craft live Thai Street Food Desserts, including coconut ice cream in coconut shells, khanom bah bin Thai (Thai coconut pancakes) and kluay thord (banana fritters). So, whether you’re seeking a fun-filled brunch with family and friends or an enchanting afternoon with your loved one, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is the perfect place to celebrate Songkran and savor the flavors of Thailand in the heart of Bangkok.

These four Thai New Year editions of the Sunday Jazzy Brunch will be staged on 7, 14, 21 & 28 April, from 12:00-15:00 hrs., and are priced at Baht 2,500 net per person for bookings made via LINE Shop (regular price Baht 3,167 net).
