What is the current situation in one of the busiest business regions in the world?
One year after the worst pandemic in modern history broke out, what is the situation in one of the busiest business regions in the world? How have the economies in Singapore and the ASEAN region sustained the setback, and how has Norwegian business been doing? The pandemic has had a significant impact on the economies in this region, and many businesses have been struggling to stay afloat.
Despite the challenges, however, the economies in Singapore and the ASEAN region have sustained the setback relatively well, thanks in part to the proactive measures taken by governments to contain the spread of the virus and support their economies. Singapore, for example, has implemented a number of measures to assist businesses, including wage subsidies, rental waivers, and loan schemes.
Norwegian businesses in the region have also been doing relatively well, with many companies adapting to the new realities of the pandemic and finding new opportunities for growth. Norwegian companies in sectors such as renewable energy, maritime, and seafood have continued to thrive, and there has been an increased focus on digitalisation and innovation.
