Seafood from Norway and Thai Airways renew Salmon Passport partnership

Seafood from Norway and Thai Airways continue the partnership to bring Thais closer to Norway through ‘From Sea to Sky: Salmon Passport’ promotion
On Bangkok, 16 September 2026 The Seafood from Norway and Thai Airways, our premium members, have joined forces once again to launch the ‘From Sea to Sky: Salmon Passport’ promotion, inviting Thai consumers to experience the stories, culture, and traditions behind Norwegian seafood while earning the chance to win a trip to Norway.
Supporting Seafood from Norway’s recently launched ‘The Story from the Sea’ campaign, the promotion highlights the special connection between Norway and Thailand, made possible through the journey of premium Norwegian seafood from Norway’s cold, clear waters to dining tables across Thailand.
As the world’s leading seafood-exporting nation, Norway relies on strong international connectivity to deliver fresh seafood to markets around the globe. Thai Airways has played an important role in connecting the two countries, helping transport Norwegian seafood while bringing people, businesses, and cultures closer together.
Ms. Åshild Nakken, Regional Director Southeast Asia at the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC), said, “For Norway, seafood is much more than an export product. It is part of our identity and deeply rooted in the lives of people living along the coastline. Through our partnership with Thai Airways, we want to share these stories with Thai consumers and offer a chance to experience Norway for themselves. The ‘From Sea to Sky: Salmon Passport’ promotion is a celebration of the connection between food, travel, and cultural exchange.”
Mr. Arnuphap Kittikul, Head of European Sales and Regional Director Europe, Thai Airways, said, “Thai Airways is proud to continue its partnership with Seafood from Norway. Through our air-cargo services and daily nonstop flights between Oslo and Bangkok, THAI helps strengthen the connection between Thailand and Norway through seafood, tourism, trade and culture. We are also delighted to sponsor the grand prize of round-trip tickets between Bangkok and Oslo, together with accommodation, giving the winner an opportunity to experience Norway and its exceptional seafood at its source.”

Running from 1 September to 30 November 2026, the ‘From Sea to Sky: Salmon Passport’ promotion encourages consumers to purchase Norwegian seafood products at participating retailers and restaurants nationwide and collect stamps to redeem prizes. Participants who collect 10 stamps will be entered into a draw to win the grand prize of two round-trip tickets from Bangkok to Oslo, sponsored by Thai Airways, together with a three-night hotel stay in Oslo, Norway. Additional prizes include cooking class with Chef Jib – Chapornpat Dapachutisan, fresh Salmon, restaurant voucher, and exclusive Seafood from Norway merchandises. Participating restaurants are BoGeul BoGrill, Sushi Hana, Sushi Hiro, Sukishi, Shinkanzen, and Woo Gogi; and retail partners are Big C, Foodland, GO Wholesale, Makro, Lotus’s, Thammachart Seafood, and Tops
The promotion was officially introduced during an exclusive Norwegian seafood media dinner hosted by Seafood from Norway at the Royal Norwegian Ambassador’s Residence in Bangkok, where the campaign and its partnership with Thai Airways were introduced through a four-course dining experience showcasing the quality and versatility of Salmon, Fjord Trout, and Norwegian Saba.
