Annual General Meeting 2023 by TNCC at Rembrandt Hotel & Suites Bangkok
On 27 April 2023, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce hosted the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Rembrandt Hotel & Suites Bangkok to report our past activities and gain more insights into how we support our members. The AGM was also an excellent opportunity for our members to meet with old and new friends to expand their network. The event was successfully hosted as 43 participants were gathered and enjoyed the experience they received.

At the event, Mr. Axel Blom, the President of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, shared valuable information with the members about the Financial and Activities Report for the year 2022. The report highlighted the chamber’s successful activities throughout the year, which included the increasing of numbers in 2022. Mr. Axel Blom also discussed plans for future events, including the highly anticipated Norway-Asia Business Summit 2023, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 29 November – 1 December 2023. This summit is expected to bring together business leaders and experts from Norway and Asia, providing a platform for discussions on key business issues and opportunities for collaboration. The members were thrilled to learn about the exciting plans for the future and were eager to participate in upcoming events.

Moreover, during the Election of Governors this year, we were honored to announce Mr. Anders Ranchil, Vice President Investment Management from Telenor Asia and Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President from Bangchak Corporation PCL, as the new board members for the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, we were honoured to have Ms.Thea Ottmann, Chargé d’affaires at interim from the Royal Norwegian Embassy to give a speech at the AGM Dinner. She gave an informative talk about the latest updates on the EFTA-Thailand Free Trade Agreement, upcoming embassy activities, and encouraged chamber members to participate in the Norway Asia Business Summit 2023. The Norwegian Business Community in Thailand expressed their gratitude for the embassy’s support in enhancing their business activities. The embassy has been a constant supporter of the chamber’s initiatives, and they reiterated their commitment to continuing to support the Norwegian Business Community in Thailand.

In this regard, the TNCC is delighted to be able to provide this opportunity for everyone to participate in this event, as well as learn more about the chamber’s activities and connect with various guests from the Thai-Norwegian business community. Furthermore, we would like to thank all of our members and everyone who attended this event.
