Bangchak Group CEO Shares Experience on Steering Organisations Towards Sustainable Success at the Thailand Productivity Forum 2024

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, shared his visionary perspective on “Decoding CEO Wisdom: Steering Towards Sustainable Success with a Commitment to Productivity.” He emphasised the significance of addressing critical emerging trends and challenges for organisations, and the role of “productivity” in steering sustainable success through the concept of Sustainable Productivity at the Thailand Productivity Forum 2024: The Path to Sustainable Success, which commemorated the 30th anniversary of the National Productivity Institute, a network institute of the Ministry of Industry. Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, presided over the event and delivered the keynote speech at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.
Chaiwat discussed the transformation of Bangchak from a refinery and marketing business to a leading energy conglomerate with a diversified business portfolio to foster balance and sustainable growth. Bangchak emphasises the importance of constantly improving efficiency and productivity, creating an organisational culture of safety, and instilling the concept of “Everyone goes home safely everyday.”
The company encourages individual goal setting to do better, challenge themselves, and collaboratively work together to drive success and improve productivity. He cited various operations that have transformed Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery into a world class refinery recognised for its except6ional quality achievements, as evidenced by the TQA and GPEA awards, making it the first refinery to receive the highest national and global quality awards. The key to becoming a sustainable organisation is Productivity, which cannot be achieved overnight. Everything can be enhanced through gradual and continuous development, exploration of strategies, practical adaptation, and the utilisation of new technologies to accelerate and improve productivity.
