Bridging Norwegian and Thai Food Supplement Communities at the Exclusive Welcome Reception 2026
On 2 September 2026, with the support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the Exclusive Welcome Reception — “Bridging Norwegian and Thai Food Supplement Communities” — at the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit. This event took place concurrently with Vitafoods Asia 2026, the premier event for Asia’s functional food and beverages, and dietary supplement industries. The reception helped foster connections between Norwegian exhibitors and key stakeholders in Thailand’s food supplement industry, including importers and distributors.
The Exclusive Welcome Reception also helped foster networking opportunities between Thai and Norwegian nutraceutical communities, allowing for meaningful exchange of insights about market trends. The event was a massive success, with almost 80 participants attending and enjoying the experience.
The event began with welcoming remarks by Ms. Kristine Anvik Leach, President of Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, followed by Mrs. Yupin Muntzing, Managing Director at Ipsos Thailand, who delivered a presentation on Thailand’s food supplement market opportunities, including consumer insights, growth drivers and business opportunities.
The Norwegian companies present at the event included Aker BioMarine, Biosan, NYO3, SalmoFer, Seagarden, and Zooca, showcasing Norway’s expertises in krill and omega-3, natural health products, marine-based ingredients, and innovative marine iron solutions. Their participation and engagement provided a valuable opportunity to introduce diverse perspectives on innovative products to Thai partners and other industry stakeholders.
The reception successfully fostered meaningful dialogue and created a platform for building connections between Norwegian suppliers, Thai distributors, Thai authorities, and industry professionals, paving pathways for stronger collaboration in the years to come.
