Former Ambassador Kjetil Paulsen In Memoriam

It is with a heavy heart that we share the incredibly sad news that our former Ambassador, H.E. Kjetil Paulsen passed away on Friday, 9 August 2019 in Oslo after a short period of sickness, only 63 years old. Our hearts go out to his wife Pia and their sons Snorre and Trym.

Ambassador Paulsen was a stern supporter of our chamber of commerce. He assisted several Norwegian companies and businesses, including the promotion of Norwegian seafood in Thailand. He was always open to letting the business community use his residence for events and to assist whenever needed. As Norway’s ambassador to Thailand, Ambassador Paulsen, together with other members of Thailand’s diplomatic corps, was also instrumental in helping Thailand’s political factions to see eye to eye on the road to political reconciliation.

Ambassador Paulsen’s funeral will take place in Oslo on 16 August 2019. He will be missed by friends and colleagues around the world.
