Highlight of 17 May Dinner 2026 hosted by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce

On the 17th of May 2026, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce commemorated Norway’s Constitution Day by hosting the 17 May Dinner at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel.

The 17 May Dinner served as an exciting and vibrant yet warm and familiar celebration of Norway’s National Day, as well as the enduring partnership of the Thai-Norwegian business community – in fact, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce!

Over 100 guests – Norwegians, Thais, and our friends and families – came together to celebrate the signing of the Norwegian Constitution.

The evening commenced with a welcoming address by Ms. Kristine Anvik Leach, President of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, followed by remarks from H.E. Mrs. Astrid Emilie Helle, the Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand, who joined the celebration, along with a sincere speech by Mr. Jostein Christensen on behalf of the Norwegian community.

Following the opening remarks, guests enjoyed a delectable dinner accompanied by fine wines and aquavit, alongside delightful live music. The festivities continued with a joyous dance session and reached a peak with the highly anticipated raffle, which elevated the guests’ enjoyment before the event successfully concluded.
