Highlight of Annual General Meeting 2025 by TNCC
On 29 April 2025, Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Amari Bangkok. The event served as an opportunity to review the Chamber’s past activities and gather valuable insights into how we can better support our members. It also provided a meaningful platform for members to reconnect with familiar faces and establish new connections within the business community. The AGM 2025 was a great success, welcoming over 40 participants who enjoyed a productive and engaging experience.
At the event, Mr. Axel Blom, President and Miss Yanin Srathongnoi, Executive Director of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, presented the Financial and Activities Report for 2024. They highlighted a year of continued growth and successful initiatives, including a notable increase in member participation.
During this year’s Election of Governors, we were honored to announce the nominations for governors who were re-elected to the board. These individuals have demonstrated outstanding commitment and have played vital roles in strengthening the ties between the Norwegian and Thai business communities. In addition, these governors have contributed significantly to the Chamber’s ongoing initiatives, and their continued service is expected to bring further value and stability to the board. Moreover, we were pleased to welcome Ms.Thea Ottmann, Chargé d’affaires at interim from the Royal Norwegian Embassy, as a speaker during the AGM Dinner. Ms. Ottmann delivered an insightful update on the EFTA-Thailand Free Trade Agreement and shared information on upcoming Nordic embassies activities. In addition, she marked the 120th anniversary of Thailand-Norway diplomatic relations — a significant occasion honoring over a century of collaboration and partnership since 1907. The embassy continued support of the Norwegian business community in Thailand was warmly acknowledged, reinforcing the strong partnership between the embassy and the Chamber.
TNCC is proud to have hosted this meaningful gathering, which not only showcased our activities but also strengthened relationships within the Thai-Norwegian business network. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all members and guests who attended and contributed to the event’s success.
More significantly, we would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our Annual Platinum Partners, Jotun Thailand Ltd. and Norwegian Seafood Council, as well as our Gold Partner, Aibel (Thailand) Ltd., and Silver Partner, Yara (Thailand) Ltd., for their generous support. Special thanks go to Amari Bangkok, our valued Venue Partner, for helping us deliver a memorable event experience. Finally, please stay tuned for more events as TNCC is committed to continuing to offer interesting opportunities and events like this for everyone.
