Highlights from the 17th of May Celebration 2024
17 May Family Day and Dinner 2024 held by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce
On 17 May 2024, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce hosted two events to commemorate Norway’s Constitution Day: the 17 May Family Day and the 17 May Dinner.
The festivities began with the 17 May Family Day at the British Club Bangkok, where Norwegians, Thais, their families, and friends gathered to celebrate Norway’s Constitution Day. Over 100 attendees participated in various activities and enjoyed traditional Norwegian dishes, maintaining the vibrant Norwegian culture.
We were honored to have a charming parade and a warm welcome speech from Ms. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvåg, Vice President of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. This was followed by heartfelt speeches from children Max Anvik Leach and Marius Anvik Leach. Attendees engaged in family games and a raffle prize session, adding excitement as participants tested their luck and took home wonderful prizes.
Later in the evening, the celebration continued with the elegant 17 May Dinner. We had almost 70 guests joining the evening event. The evening started with the opening speech by Ms. Kristine Anvik Leach, Board of Governor of Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce followed by speech from Mr. Tom Trommestad which set the tone for a delightful evening. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner with great wine and aquavit, all accompanied by live music. Following dinner, guests danced the night away. Toward the end of the event, the enjoyment of guests was elevated during the raffle prize session. Therefore, we would like to express our special thanks to our raffle prize sponsors as listed below:
