Govt lays out a scheme for everyone to get vaccinated, no matter their nationality, the mass vaccination programme will be kicked off on June 7 onward.
“All people living on Thai soil, Thais and foreign nationals alike, are requested to register for vaccination through designated channels, should they wish to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Foreign nationals are part of Thailand’s efforts to achieve herd immunity and are encouraged to get vaccinated. Authorities have assigned various agencies to be in charge of foreign nationals to ease the process of vaccine roll-out” said deputy Foreign Ministry spokesman Natapanu Nopakun.
Foreigners in Bangkok can contact VIMUT Hospital (Tel: 02 079 0000) or Bangrak Vaccination & Health Center (Tel: 02 286 2468), using their social security number or passport. Foreigners can register on-site at vaccination centres or hospitals where they keep their health records by using their social security number or their passport.
To meet the demands of the national vaccination drive, the government has procured jabs from Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
