Jotun Thailand, one of our premium members and annual platinum partners, was invited from Thailand Environmental Institute (TEI) as a representative of Construction Materials Group to discuss and share Jotun’s initiatives on a topic “Let’s save (conserve) each other”.
Jotun Thailand had shared their standing point in green step and sustainable way of production processes that follow Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which classifies the activities into the ESG-structure:
- Operation efficiency which aims to increase output, reduce energy consumption, resources, VOC emission Co2 footprint and waste.
- During their innovation process, Raw Materials Selection is very crucial. Jotun has established chemical policy for raw material usages.
- Waste handling is also their concern; the company focus on re-use and recycle in their production processes.
- Their Sustainable Procurement (SCM) encourages sourcing materials from credible suppliers that have similar sustainability vision.
- They are reducing energy consumptions and carbon footprint by focusing on energy reduction programs and Renewable Energy source they have completed phase 1 of solar panels installation.
With all these, Jotun is on a journey with “Sustainability” in focus. And their products comply with Green Label, meaning they meet strict environmental standards.
