NIST Receives Strategic Plan Award at the ASEAN School Awards 2026
NIST International School, one of our Corporate Members, is honoured to have received the Strategic Plan Award at the ASEAN School Awards 2026, recognising the school’s community-driven and future-focused approach to learning, wellbeing, and long-term development.
Organised by 21st Century Learning, the ASEAN School Awards celebrate schools and educational organisations making meaningful contributions to education across the region through innovation, impact, and leadership.
The Strategic Plan category recognises schools whose strategic vision strengthens long-term growth while remaining grounded in their communities’ needs and aspirations. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that NIST’s strategic plan was collaboratively shaped by students, staff, parents, alumni, Foundation, and Executive Board members through workshops, surveys, focus groups, and community discussions.
At the heart of the plan are five interconnected aims focused on learning, professional culture, learning environments, systems, and belonging. Together, these areas guide the school’s future direction while ensuring student wellbeing, growth, and flourishing remain central to every decision.
The award also reflects the work already underway across the campus and the wider school community. Recent developments, including the opening of the Pavilion Building and new Elementary Buildings, continue to support innovative teaching and learning, strengthen wellbeing and safeguarding systems, and create purposeful spaces for collaboration and connection.
As Thailand’s first full IB World School, NIST continues to invest in learning environments, professional growth, and community partnerships that prepare students to thrive in a rapidly changing world while remaining grounded in compassion, intercultural understanding, and service.
