Seafood under the Stars 2022 hosted by TNCC
Seafood under the Stars 2022 hosted by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce
On 24 November 2022, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted the Seafood under the Stars 2022 at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel with over 300 high profile participants gathered and enjoyed the wonderful experience and a flavoursome seafood dinner served at the event. On top of that, various members, their guests and friends of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce got a perfect chance to enhance their business connections during the networking hours and the dinner.
Seafood under the Stars is an annual event which normally held in the garden of the Norwegian Ambassador’s residence in Bangkok. With uncertain weather forecasts, the chamber had thus decided to move the event this year to The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, one of our premium members. Seafood under the Stars sets against a background of promoting Norway as a tourist destination and as a seafood nation. Fresh Norwegian seafood was flown in for the occasion and Chef Jimmy Chok took a good care of the toothsome dining. He is best known for his creation of innovative recipes that blend Asian ingredients with western-style cooking and has also won several accolades.
At the event, we started with the opening speech by H.E. Mrs Astrid Emilie Helle, Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand and Cambodia and followed by the speech by Dr. Asbjørn Warvik Rørtveit, Director, South-East Asia, Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC). In addition, Mr Axel Blom, the President of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, welcomed all guests and shared some key focus areas for the chamber. On top of that, we had two special talented artists lighten up the event as listed below;
- Norwegian newcomer ANNA recently released her debut electro-pop epic ‘Running’ via Up! Hit Music. Hailing from the secluded industrial town of Mosjøen, Norway, ANNA’s hypnotic and captivating indietronica sound owes as much to the geographical isolation of her hometown as it does to her musical influences.
- LEILA is Norwegian, French and Moroccan artist who likes to recount some of the cobwebs and golden leaf moments of life. Her music diffuses an aura of the bittersweet, shape-shifting shades of pain and perseverance that life serves us. Her songs exude an overall message of optimism and hope.
More importantly, this event wouldn’t be successful without tremendous support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok, our platinum partner; Jotun Thailand Ltd., our gold partners; Yara (Thailand) Ltd., and Aibel (Thailand) Ltd. Moreover, with generous support from our Seafood Partners, which are the Norwegian Seafood Council, Thammachart Seafood and Nordic Halibut, a variety of fresh Norwegian seafood is specifically being flown in for everyone to taste on this special occasion. It is also our pleasure to have Full Moon Brewworks Co., Ltd., GFour Wine, and Pernod Ricard (Thailand) Ltd. as our Beverage Partners, offering our guests premium quality beer, wines, and spirits during this beautiful night. In addition, with the great support from beverage partners, Thammachart Seafood Retail and Felicia Design, we were also able to enhance the enjoyment of our guests during our Lucky Draw session. Lastly, we had a great support from MedPark Hospital for an ambulance unit and standby nurses at our event.
In this regard, the TNCC is thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity for everyone to participate. Additionally, we would like to warmly thank all our members, their guests and everyone who joined this event. Finally, please stay tuned for more events from us as we are continuing to offer interesting opportunities and events like this for everyone.
