Thai Airways Unveils New Royal Silk Class on A320 Aircraft
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), one of our premium members, hosted the “THAI A320: Elevating Travel Experience” event to introduce its new Royal Silk Class cabin on the Airbus A320 aircraft, offering passengers an exclusive domestic and short-haul international travel experience. The event was attended by key executives, including Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI Chairman of the Plan Administrator, Mr. Chai Eamsiri, THAI Chief Executive Officer and other senior management at the THAI Maintenance Hangar at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Mr. Korakot Chatasingha, THAI Chief Commercial Officer, emphasised the airline’s focus on sustainable revenue through its Commercial Excellence strategy. In 2024, THAI successfully integrated Thai Smile Airways under the “One THAI One Fly” campaign, improving revenue, aircraft utilisation, and creating a seamless travel experience.
The new Royal Silk Class on the A320 showcases THAI’s commitment to product and service development, aiming to enhance passenger comfort and convenience. With spacious seats, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, premium dining, and exclusive privileges, the service offers a comprehensive full-service experience on both domestic and international short-haul flights. The service, launched in January, will be available in all 20 A320 aircraft by Q2 2025.
Royal Silk Class features 12 exclusive seats in a 2-2 configuration, wireless entertainment, gourmet meals, and 125-150% bonus Royal Orchid Plus miles. The service is available in 8 domestic routes and 22 destination in Asian.
