The Collaboration of Yara and Depa Thailand in Promoting Digital Tools among Smallholder Farmers
Partnerships are crucial for bringing knowledge and innovation to farmers and ensuring that the food value chain transformation is inclusive. We are proud to share that over the next two years, Yara who is our premium members and Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) of Thailand will work together to support the adoption of digital tools among smallholder farmers in Thailand to improve their productivity and enhance their livelihood.
Yara’s Senior Vice President for Asia-Pacific, Beda Merkelbach, Managing Director for Thailand, Nantiya Pitakwongdeengam, and Senior Manager for Regional Growth and Commercialisation (Asia-Pacific), Thanawat Watanarotkajorn joined Depa’s President and Vice President in signing a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in agri-digital promotion in Thailand.
The signing took place during the cutting-edge national agriculture drone-piloting competition in Nakhon Ratchasima, which is the final event in a series that Depa has been organising across the country to promote the use of drones in farming. We look forward to the collaboration with Depa in supporting the digital journey of Thai farmers and achieving a natural positive and food future.
