Trade Figures for 2022 Released by Norway Connect
Norway Connect, our premium member, has shared the trade figures for 2022 stating that both seafood export and fertiliser export to Thailand grew. Overall in 2022, we saw a 33% increase in export to Thailand and a 23% decline in imports from Thailand. The decline from Thailand is caused by an unusually high figure (3.5 BNOK) in May 2021 when Aibel’s P2 topside module was shipped to Norway.
Export from Norway in 2022 was split like this:
- Seafood 57%, NOK 2,796 million
- Fertilisers 24%, NOK 1,161 million
- Other goods 20%, NOK 967 million
- Total is NOK 4,925 million vs export from Thailand NOK 5,391
