Norway Connect, our premium member, has released updated trade figures for the period January–November 2025. To provide a clear perspective on market trends, the data includes a comprehensive comparison with historical records spanning from 2019 to 2024.
Exports from Norway to Thailand reached NOK 5,090 million for January–November 2025, slightly down (-1.0%) compared to the same period in 2024, while imports from Thailand rose to NOK 6,520 million (+16.3% year-on-year). Seafood exports to Thailand are up by 17% in value (but 36% in fresh salmonids volume) as compared to the same period last year, while fertilisers are down by 25%. Aibel’s exports is up by 27%.
Looking at tourism to Norway, the number of Thai room nights in Norway continue to improve. April was so far the best month ever with almost 10,400 room nights (against 5,000 in 2024), but in October we beat that figure by 300 to 10,600 room nights. Room nights are 50% over last year. Northern Norway is the region that continues to show the biggest increase with 54% over 2024 and 15% above the month of October 2024.
Export from Norway for Jan-Nov 2025 is split like this:

- Fertilisers 16% NOK 829 million
- Other goods 23% NOK 1,056 million
- Total NOK 5,085 million (=-1%) vs export from Thailand NOK 6,517 million (=+16%)
