Trade Figures for Jan-Sep 2023 Released by Norway ConnectTrade Figures for Jan-Sep 2023 Released by Norway Connect

Norway Connect, our premium member, has shared the first half of the 2023 trade statistics summary between Norway and Thailand demonstrating the trade figures for January-September 2023, pointing out that seafood exports to Thailand are down by 4% as compared to the same period last year, while fertilisers are down by 36%.

Overall applied to the full year the Jan-Sep figures would mean a 7% decrease in export to Thailand and a 22% increase in import from Thailand. The high figure in import from Thailand is due to Aibel Thailand exporting another Doggerbank module in May. That one module was NOK 1,242 million alone.

Export from Norway for Jan-Sep23 is split like this:

  • Seafood 58%             NOK 1,982 million
  • Fertilisers 21%          NOK 728 million
  • Other goods 21%     NOK 723 million
  • Total                           NOK 4,924 million vs export from Thailand NOK 5,391 million
