Yara Thailand: Driving Innovation for Thailand’s Agriculture Future
On 12 June 2026, Yara Thailand, our premium members, was proud to join the Global Innovation Forum, hosted by Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA), to share perspectives on the role of innovation in shaping the future of agriculture and food systems.

The forum, presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, and NIA Executive Director Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, brought together leaders from the public sector, private sector, and academia to collectively explore how Thailand can advance toward becoming an “Innovation Nation.”

Country Manager Nantiya Pitakwongdeengam joined the panel on “Thailand Innovation: Industrial Linkage from Research to Market Commercialisation,” highlighting the importance of translating research into real-world impact—particularly in agriculture. She exchanged insights with leaders from Thai Union Group, Thai Sugar Mill (TSM) Group, RISE Innovation Accelerator, and MedPark Hospital, reflecting the power of cross-sector collaboration.

As highlighted by the panelists, public-private collaboration will be essential for ensuring that all sectors move towards a common vision – in a consistent and sustainable manner. By combining Yara’s expertise in crop nutrition with partners across industries, they can help:
- Improve farm productivity
- Enhance farmers’ livelihoods
- Strengthen Thailand’s food system
A big thank you to NIA for their continued leadership in connecting agriculture with academia and the broader innovation ecosystem—paving the way for a more resilient, competitive, and sustainable future for Thai farmers.
