UPDATE! World Clean-Up Day 2019

UPDATE! World Clean-Up Day 2019Update for the World Clean-Up Day 2019

Trash Hero Bangkok is very excited about this year’s World Clean Up Day 2019. We would like to outline a couple of points.

Food and Beverages

Our very kind sponsors have donated food and beverages for all Trash Hero Volunteers attending the clean-up. There will also be water refill points, please bring your refillable water bottle. Please also bring an empty lunch box and cutlery so you can place your food inside, this way we can reduce the number of single-use items, even if they are plant-based.

Trash Hero Items

Water bottles and re-useable bags will be available to buy and Trash Hero t-shirts will have a donation box at the station, the donation amount is Baht 90 which is the cost of the t-shirts.

Trash Clean-Up Route

For the smooth running of the day, we wish for you to select your attendance on the link below. We have two routes, one is the road clean-up and the second is the Khlong clean-up. The Khlong clean-up has very limited space (35 people) and comes on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Khlong clean-up will be on Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boards so please ensure you can swim and are comfortable on the water. Once we select the SUP team we will email you directly.

Please confirm your attendance here.

Your Packing Kit

  • Raincoat / Umbrella / Hat
  • Comfortable footwear
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Rubber gloves and/or trash pickers
  • Bring your lunch box (non-plastic packaging). Please bring bamboo/aluminium straws/cutlery set instead. Volunteers should bring their own water bottles, fabric bags, reusable lunch box, and cutlery. Note: no plastic straws/bags/cups/cutlery.
  • Insect repellent spray
  • Rubbish bags or reusable rubbish bags

Details on where you can buy equipment are outlined here.

Should you have any further questions please email the Trash Hero Bangkok team at [email protected].

Looking forward to cleaning up with you on Saturday!
