World Cleanup Day 2019 in Collaborating with Our Premium MembersWorld Cleanup Day 2019 in Collaborating with Our Premium Members

On Saturday, 21 September 2019, members of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce including our premium members, Jotun (Thailand) Ltd., Yara (Thailand) and Starboard as an organiser, as well as staff of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok joined hands with Trash Hero Bangkok to collect trash on World Cleanup Day 2019.

Close to 300 participants were greeted by H.E. Kjersti Rødsmoen, Norway’s Ambassador to Thailand who actively participated in the garbage collection in Samut Prakarn’s Bang Plee district.

This was Trash Hero Bangkok’s biggest-ever event in Samut Prakarn province, and the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce is happy to take on a more prominent role in Thailand’s foreign business community in order to support actions today for a clean and green Bangkok tomorrow.

About Trash Hero Bangkok

Trash Hero is a global volunteer movement, led, supported and governed by Trash Hero World. At its heart is a growing grassroots network of chapters: unincorporated, community-based organisations, that run our programmes. Each is affiliated with Trash Hero World and their national Trash Hero organisation if one exists. Currently, the network extends to 17 countries around the world: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Poland, Holland, Georgia, Germany, USA, Australia, and Japan. In countries with a significant number of chapters, we have begun registering country-level organisations, in order to facilitate programme coordination and represent local voices both on the national stage and within the movement.
